Good Evening loves,

I hope you are all well and keeping safe in this very strange time.

I'm so sorry I haven't kept up with posting regularly. I kind of lost touch with it all, and along with that have been trying not to purchase any make up etc. I'm currently in the process of buying a house and need the money for more important things at the mo lol! Seeing as we are all stuck indoors however, I thought I would use my time to put a bit of effort back in to my blog, and possibly provide a bit of an escape for you all even if only for a little read.

With that being said, I thought I would write a little post today about my current skincare routine. I have introduced a couple of new products to my routine and have seen a good improvement to my skin, apart from a couple of breakouts..but we'll blame that on all the crap I've been eating whilst being stuck in the house - can anyone else relate?!? I can't stop myself haha! Anyway, I've been trying to keep to a good routine morning and evening and I think it's helped that I haven't been wearing any make up whilst being at home so my skin has had time to breathe properly.

Moving on to the products I've been using, as you will see from the picture above I have a little selection of products so I'll take you through step by step how I use them:

Firstly I use the Garnier Rose Micellar Water. This smells lovely by the way, so nice and fresh! I use this on a cotton pad all over my face. I then go in with the Pixi Glow Tonic, again on a cotton pad all over my face but avoiding the eyes. After that I use the very much loved (as you can see from the photo lol) L'Oreal Hydra Genius moisturiser. I use this as it's so refreshing and lightweight I love it. I have combination skin so get quite an oily t-zone so tend to reach for less heavy moisturisers.

Whilst my moisturiser is sinking in I then use the Benefit It's Potent Eye Cream to try and help get rid of those nasty dark circles haha.

One item I haven't included in the photo is a product called Acnecide (Benzoyl Peroxide) which I use every evening after I've applied my moisturiser. I was advised by my auntie who is a pharmacist to try using this product a few months ago after suffering with a constant breakout of big painful spots that just wouldn't go away, or as soon as one went another one would appear - it wasn't fun!! This is a product that I believe you have to purchase over the counter at pharmacies and can't just be picked up off the shelf. I wouldn't recommend using this unless you have been advised to by a doctor or pharmacist however, but thought I would mention it as it does play a big part in my skincare routine at the moment.

After all of that, if I do have any breakouts I will go in with the oh so famous Mario Badescu drying lotion on those areas, and then to finish will pop some EOS lip balm on and voila!

Side note - if I have been wearing make up, I will also use a cleanser before my bath or shower to get rid of all my make up, and then will go in with all of the above. At the moment I've been using a Simple one for sensitive skin :)

So that is it for today lovelies. I promise I'll try and make it more regular especially as I have a lot more time on my hands.

I hope you are all keeping safe and healthy. I know it's a horrible and scary time, but the way I like to think every morning is that each day we wake up, we are one day closer to normality again <3

xoxo

Yas
